Routine Dental Care
Orthodontics
- Child & Adult (PICTURES)
- Orthodontics treats improperly positioned teeth using braces and other appliances to apply gentle pressure to move teeth into the desired position. Orthodontics can help straighten teeth, bring your bite into alignment and improve both function and appearance of your teeth
- NEW! Invisalign is a new orthodontic technology we have implemented at Sandoval Dental Care. Invisalign gradually moves your teeth through a series of custom-made, removable, nearly invisible Aligners.
Restorative Dentistry
- Fillings
- Fillings are a way of treating minor cavities where the decay (cavity) is removed and then the void filled in with either a silver or tooth colored filling. This procedure is a good way of correcting a small problem before it becomes a bigger, more expensive problem.
- Crowns
- Crowns are basically a cover placed over a weakened or decayed tooth. They are most often necessary when a tooth has large fillings that have deteriorated. Crowns are made out of porcelain and strengthen and protect your teeth as well as enhance your smile.
- Our Cerec device is now used to create custom crowns in-house. This means:
- No temporaries
- No impressions
- Just one-visit permanent crowns!
- Bridges
- When single or multiple teeth are missing, bridges can be used to replace the missing teeth by either a fixed bridge or removable bridge.
- Dentures
- When too many teeth are missing to be restored by bridgework, dentures offer a good solution.
- Periodontal Therapy
- TMJ Treatment
- TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder) is a term that refers to inflammation of the temporomandibular joint which connects the lower jaw to the skull. At Sandoval Dental Care, we have a trained staff to provide treatment for this condition.
- Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)
- If a tooth is damaged by decay or injury, the canals inside the root of the tooth can become infected. Years ago, extraction was the only option but today, through endodontics, these teeth can be saved and be restored to normal function. Root canal therapy is one of the most successful off all dental procedures.
- Extractions
- Extractions are when a tooth is removed from the mouth. This is done for many reasons including, but not limited to: Preparing for braces, insufficient space for wisdom teeth, severe tooth decay or infections.
Cosmetic Dentistry
- Teeth Whitening (PICTURES)
- Home Bleaching Kits
- These kits include custom made bleaching trays, 6 syringes of bleaching solution and instructions. This process might take multiple treatments whereas a dentist-supervised treatment might take only one to reach the same results.
- Zoom!
- Zoom! is a bleaching process that lightens discoloration of enamel and dentin. This process is done in-house at Sandoval Dental Care and is performed by one of our staff. The procedure takes about 1 hour total.
- Direct Bonding (PICTURES)
- Bonding is an option for chipped or cracked teeth where tooth-like material is applied to the tooth, sculpted into shape, hardened and then polished. This can also be a method to add material to a tooth that has been ground away over time.
- Enamel Colored Fillings (PICTURES)
- Fillings that have been done in the past with a silver color can be removed and replaced with tooth colored fillings for a better appearance.
- Porcelain Crowns (PICTURES)
- Crowns that have been used in the past and made out of a silver or gold color material can be removed and replaced with a tooth colored porcelain crown for better appearance.
- Bridges (PICTURES)
- A bridge is a prosthesis used to replace missing teeth when only a few are missing.
- Porcelain Veneers (PICTURES)
- Veneers are basically covers for existing teeth. These can be used to close gaps between teeth or on teeth that don’t respond well to whitening.
- Full Smile Reconstruction
- By having a consultation with one of the dentists at Sandoval Dental Care, we can properly recommend a certain cosmetic procedure or a combination of them to do a full smile reconstruction if necessary.
Dental Implants
Custom Sports Mouthguards
- Dentist-fitted custom mouthguards are recommended for all contact and collision sports. Store bought mouthguards displace a lot of the material needed to properly protect the teeth and are not as comfortable as custom fitted ones. Custom Sports Mouthguards make talking and breathing easier.
